The Best Healthy Snacks for Toddlers: Foods Kids Will Love
By Sunnyglitter
It's easy to find healthy snacks for toddlers.
Looking for snack ideas for your children? Healthy snacks for toddlers aren't limited to dry cereal and fruit slices.
You can find a variety of healthy snacks for kids from numerous companies, including Annie's, Sharkies, Clif, Late July, and Earth's Best. These companies offer organic snacks, natural snacks, and snacks without high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oils.
Put down the Pop-Tarts and keep reading to learn all about the best healthy snacks for toddlers.
Healthy Fruit Snacks
As a parent, one of my biggest challenges was finding healthy fruit snacks for my children. All of the fruit snacks I found had high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors and flavors, and all kinds of other scary ingredients that I couldn't even pronounce.
Not Annie's Homegrown Fruit Snacks. Annie's Homegrown Fruit Snacks are vegan, gelatin-free, gluten-free, fat-free, and certified organic. They are also made with real fruit juice.
My kids love these organic fruit snacks, and I'm a huge fan as well. They're delicious, and a must-have for any parent looking for healthy snack ideas.
Healthy Graham Snacks
Not only does Annie's make delicious organic fruit snacks, they also have delicious graham snacks.
Bunny Grahams are as cute as they are tasty. Made with organic whole grains, they're a great healthy snack option for toddlers.
Bunny Grahams are cholesterol free, and contain no trans fats or saturated fats. If you're not a fan of regular sugar, you'll be happy to know that Annie's Bunny Grahams are made with organic evaporated cane juice.
In addition to honey graham snacks, you'll also find Chocolate Bunnies, Cinnamon Bunnies, Chocolate Chip Bunnies, and Cheddar Bunnies from Annie's.
Annie's also makes gluten-free Cocoa and Vanilla Bunnies.
Healthy Graham Crackers
Maybe it's just because I live in Missouri, but it's pretty hard to find organic graham crackers.
New Morning Honey Grahams are a healthy snack that your children will beg you to buy. They are the only graham crackers I've found that don't contain high fructose corn syrup, and one of the only brands that doesn't contain hydrogenated oils.
Another great thing about New Morning Honey Grahams is that they are made with organic unbleached wheat flour. These days, finding products made with unbleached wheat flour is a rare occurrence.
Healthy Peanut Butter Crackers
What toddler doesn't love crackers with peanut butter?
Peanut butter is often packed with hydrogenated oils and sugar, making it a snack that is far from healthy. While Late July Organic Mini Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers do contain sugar, they contain far less than most of the other prepackaged peanut butter crackers on the market.
These crackers are USDA-Certified-Organic, and contain no high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, or artificial flavors. They are Kosher and lacto-vegetarian.
Healthy Sports Chews
Sports Chews is just another name for fruit snacks.
I'll be honest: Sharkies Sports Chews are nowhere near as tasty or healthy as Annie's Homegrown Fruit Snacks. They're still pretty good, though. They're a decent snack for your toddler.
Sharkies Sports Chews are fructose free, and contain no trans fats. They also have 100% of the RDA of Vitamin C.
Healthy Snack Bars
I love Clif Bars, and used to eat one for breakfast each morning.
Clif now makes special bars for kids: Clif ZBars. These healthy bars are great on mornings when you're rushing your children to daycare or preschool. They're not too messy, and they are filling enough to count as a meal.
If serving them as a snack, you may want to cut them in half. My daughter could never finish a whole one when she was a toddler.
Each bar is free of high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, and preservatives.

See results without votingThanks for the comment, ebookshack. That's a shame that you're having trouble getting some of the products. I always assumed Amazon shipped to Canada without any problems.
As for the Bunny Grahams, you should definitely try those. They are one of the best snacks I've ever had, and some much better for you than Teddy Grahams.
I agree that the snacks are great for adults as well as children. It's our role as a mom to set an example for our children regarding dietary habits and nutrition.
Interesting article which i enjoyed a lot but don't actually know where to buy them here because am sure my kids will love them a lot .
Thank you, cyrstolite. You can buy all of these healthy snacks on Amazon.com. That's where I usually get them since a lot of my local stores don't have them.
This is great hub that you were writing ... Keep it up

Thanks, this is a good hub. I don't know if some of those products are available to Canada or not(unfortunately it seems like everything I wanna buy from them won't ship to me, luckily I have a sister in the States I can re-route things through if necessary)
My 2 and 4 year old love the fruit snacks. They feel like they are eating candy but I know better. I haven't tried them on the graham crackers yet but was thinking about it. Those Bunny ones look pretty good.
The nice thing about these treats is although they are ideal for tots, us big people can enjoy them too and reap the benefits of better health and teaching our children healthier eating habits.
